Rain water harvesting systems and sanitation for schools

Kakuzi has completed the construction of a 10,000L rain water harvesting system at Mutithi secondary school.

This project will benefit over 600 students in the school with clean water.

It is a welcome relief to students who have been carrying water and walking long distances with jerricans to collect water and is expected to positively impact learning outcomes in the school.

Covid-19 Response

The world is facing an unprecedented challenge with communities and economies everywhere affected by the novel corona virus pandemic. Kakuzi has initiated and implemented a combination of measures to support national and county efforts to reduce the spread and minimize the impact of Covid19 in the company and community.

The company has purchased and installed 28 hand wash tanks in our neighboring towns and market centers with the specific target being motorcycle riders and their passengers, users of matatu stages and retail market traders and their customers. The 14,000 litres of water and soap was replenished by the company daily.
