Health & Safety Programme

Kakuzi maintains a comprehensive occupational health and safety programme. The components of our programme include:

  • Health and safety policy
  • Workplace risk assessment
  • Joint Health and Safety Committees
  • Workplace inspections
  • First Aid implementation
  • Fire safety implementation
  • Annual Third Party Health and Safety audits
  • Health and Safety Training

A senior member of the management team has overall responsibility for health and safety supported by safety committees comprised of management and employee representatives.

Health Care Provision 

Two dispensaries are established on our estates offering medical services and care to employees, their dependents and other people from surrounding areas. These are manned by qualified medical personnel and services are free to employees and their dependents.
