Kakuzi Cares

As a good corporate citizen, we have a duty to the community in which we operate, from whom we get our license to trade.

As such, we continue to support neighbouring communities through the provision of handwashing facilities. We purchased and installed at least 30 500 litre water tanks in our neighbouring towns and market centres. 20,000 litres of water and adequate soap is availed on a daily basis.

Kakuzi also responded to the threat of food shortage as a result of lost income by members of the community. We have so far donated 24,000 kilograms of maize flour and rice to the community through the local administration as well as the peoples’ elected representatives.

Furthermore, the Company continues to issue face masks to members of the surrounding community.

In partnership with the Muranga County government, Kakuzi was involved in the disinfection of all market centres in Muranga County by providing the county with two tractors and Jacto boom sprayers. We also donated 10 state of the art motorized mist blowers for up-close fumigation of common use places that cannot be accessed by the boom sprayers within the county.
